Stupid war messed up the ‘42 model production so these are rare. But why didn’t they continue with the same style after the war?

I don’t know, and it puzzles me. Particularly considering just how much advertising money went into promoting the ‘42. Instead, they came back with the same car - with revised fender tops and non-hidden headlights. It’s baffling.

I always forget about De Soto but they made some interesting cars.
